Rustic Pink Gerbera Wedding For Sara & Ron

During the week of September 29th, I decorated, set up, designed, made the cake, played piano & guitar & sang at my sisters wedding. I also curled & styled my Melody's hair, did nail art, put up a pergola & backdrop, made bouquets, set up the ceremony, made aisle canning jars, and did a few quick hems for the guys pants along with numerous other special things. Hey... I love my sister & my new brother! Happy Wedding!!!
Holm And Sower wedding sign I made out of an old chalkboard that I painted pink & dolled up.
The cake I made for my sister Sara's wedding. She just wanted a simple cake so I made a square tiered cake of both chocolate with reeses peanut butter whipped filling and vanilla with raspberry filling. I rotated the layers between the 4 layers with the peanut butter having the most servings.
I love this cake pedistal! My husband's father made me this stand out of oak.  He also sealed it for me so that it would be easier to keep the bark on the outside. I added these little cowboy boots next to the cake for a cute touch. All of the bridesmaids wore boots with their dresses!
I wrapped the cake with a bright pink ribbon and then added a bit of twine around it for a little more rustic look. I then added a few gerbera daisies to the top & the sides and added the monogram "H" to the top,
This is the side view of the cake. In the background you can see the candy table.
Ronald & Sara Holm with their wedding cake!
My daughter Penny is Sara's god-daughter so she got to be in the wedding too! She was a jr. bridesmaid with my little sister Rachel.
This is the back of my Melody! She bought this pink shirt with her own money and wanted to wear it to the wedding. the color matched perfectly & the style with the boots looked awesome... just made for the day!

Me, Shane & Lori & Dave Langerude. We did a praise & worship service for the wedding with 9 P&W songs. There was no wedding wedding music except for the prelude & the recessional.
Ron wrote a song for Sara & she didn't know that I put music to it. Ron sang it to her at the wedding & Sara cried. After he finished, Ron received a standing ovation! It was very special!
 Candy Table
It's a little dark to see, but I made a backdrop out of logs from Shane's dad which we tied together with rope & then added a fabric swag draped along it. I also had almost 200 canning jars on the tables with either flowers or a tea light candle lit in it. The table coverings were bright pink.
The pergola that my daughter, Michaela made for up on stage. Sara & Ron were married under it.
The brides bouquet. I got to do the floral work with Barb Krousey.... Shane's aunt! Thank you so much, Barb... it was an honor
The brides bouquet looking from the end of the table.
The head table I put a burlap overlap for a table skirt and then added a pink table cover to match the other tables. I then added canning jars like the other tables & then used the bouquets for added decoration when they were not in use. I used old cut logs for under a few candles on the tables also.

A collage of photos of Sara & Ron & their kids that I hung from the ceiling by using a metal rope & magnets.

A set of candles I set up with a few logs for in front of the praise team.

Pink Zebra Purse

This is a purse made for a girl who absolutely loves purses. She liked the color pink and liked zebra stripes.
I made the handles to stick up & out of the cake just like a real purse.
 A few more poses.

Spongebob Square Pants

I made Spongebob for a little boys birthday party for October 14th. Spongebob is a universal cartoon that both adults & kids equally enjoy. I think that the adults maybe enjoyed this cake a little more than the kids.....
This cake fed 25 people. This was a marble cake and was covered & decorated with homemade marshmallow fondant

Tonka Truck

This cake was made for a little boy named Marshall for his birthday.
I used crumbled cookies for the dirt.

Sleepy Puppy

I made this cake for a baby shower which had a puppy theme.
I made the marshmallow fondant and covered the cake and then added buttercream clouds for the puppy to sleep on.
I then put my puppy I made on a little white blankie and let him fall asleep.

This cake was a 6 inch 2 layer cake.
