Wedding Cuppy Cakes in Pink, Black & White

On August 27th, I did a cupcake stand for a wedding in Sobieski, MN.  Their colors were light pink, black, and white and the cupcake liners had a Damask print on them. The side of the cupcake stand had a light pink ribbon going around all of the layers. I had homemade vanilla & coffee flavored buttercream frosting rotated in pink & white for the cupcakes. The cupcake flavors the bride requested were funfetti & chocolate.
This is my daughter, Melody helping me put all of the cupcakes into Domino's Pizza dough trays for the transport over to the reception hall.
Here are the extra 210 cupcakes waiting to be eaten... they didn't make it onto the cupcake stand... poor cuppie cakes!
I did a 6 inch 2 layer cake for the top of the cake stand and it also served as the bride & grooms 1 year anniversary cake. I did a Damask print on the sides & added some white & pink flowers to the top & sides. I also added some black & white wired beads to the cakes top & bottom tiers to match the brides other decorations.

Biker Boy

This is my first biker cake! I made it for a little boy's birthday for August 22nd.
The flames were fun to make and were my first time trying out fire. I also made two "mommy" tattoos. I thought the little boy & mom would get a kick out of them.
I made the top tier a little biker jacket out of marshmallow fondant... cute huh! I made the belt out & also a white shirt for underneath. This is a 10 inch and a 6 inch 2 layer cake.

Red Roses & Vines Wedding Cake

This wedding cake was for August 20th. The bride found a photo of this cake online & she wasa absolutely in love with it. I made a black vine going up the side of the cake & my daughter came & helped me cut out the leaves.
I made 20 gum paste roses & painted them a dark red/maroon color.
Me putting the roses on the cake.
My daughter in front of the cake she helped me with.
This cake was a 2 layer 14 inch, a 3 layer 10 inch, and a 3 layer 6 inch cake. It was a almond cake made with marshmallow fondant & almond buttercream frosting.
I also made a sheet cake with red double interlocking hearts.

Sweet 16

I made this cake for a dear friend's niece who was turning 16 on August 14th. She wanted zebra stripes and her colors were hot pink, black & white.

I made a white gum paste rose for her cake.
I also made a gum paste 16 for the top of her cake. This cake is a 10 inch and a 6 inch tier cake, both are 2 layers with marshmallow fondant.

Have Your Cake & Play With It Too!

This is a pool cake that I made for a birthday on August 11th. I made the top of the pool table out of gum paste so that the holes & table top would hold it's shape. I also made balls, triangle & pool sticks out of gum paste.
The cake is a chocolate cake with chocolate fudge filling, homemade buttercream and marshmallow fondant. This cake was baked in a bread pan and is 2 layers. (about a 6 inch cake)

Tucker's Birthday Bones

My sister, Lisa has a pomeranian named Tucker. Tucker hates me! I think I am one of the only people on earth he hates. He used to pee on my shoes every time I came over. My nephew, Matthew called and asked me to make Tucker a cake for Tucker's birthday on August 10th. I made two little chocolate cake bones and covered them in marshmallow fondant. Tucker, Matthew, & Rylan (Matthew's brother) all got to eat a little piece of cake to celebrate Tucker's day!
My arch enemy, Tucker... waiting for me to come over!!!

Financial Peace Hungry Piggy Cake

My husband, Shane & I have been hosting a Financial Peace University Class at our church.  I made this cake for our last FPU class which was on the 10th of August. I just want to give a little plug now for Dave Ramsey & his AWESOME financial course and the biblical principles that it is based upon. It has changed our marriage, our money management, our giving & our future.  Once again, Shane and I have watched as family's lives are being changed by their new view of money and their new understanding that God has a plan for their lives.  For Shane and I, this class has been a life saver.  On August 7th, Shane and l celebrated our 12th Anniversary.  Over the course of the last 11 years we struggled to come up with a financial plan for our family. Living paycheck to paycheck, with no savings was normal for us and it looked like most others we know were in the same boat.  The idea that we needed a credit card to live or always having a car payment was somehow in our heads that this is the way of life.  When we started taking the class last September we quickly discovered this was the class that should have been taught in High School before we got married. Today after taking the course once and hosting twice, we have paid all of our debit ( around $20,000) (with the exception of our home), cut up the credit cards, and saved up almost two and a half months of savings.
This cake is a 10inch almond cake with homemade buttercream frosting & marshmallow frosting. The coins are chocolate coins that I purchased from Walmart.

Walking on daisies & dirt!

I was asked to make a shoe cake for Sara's daughter... this is her with her cake.
I found a pattern online for little Converse shoes & made them out of gum paste so that they would harden.
My daughter helped me pick out the colors for this pair of shoes!
 This pair is my favorite!
Don't you just love the detail & the little Converse symbol!
I couldn't find a patter for a flip flop, so I made my own!
I added little sunflowers to the front & it really made the shoe POP!
 All of my little shoes!
This cake had a 12 inch and a 6 inch tier which were both 2 layers each. This cake was made out of homemade buttercream frosting & marshmallow fondant.

39 Clues for Peterschmeeter!

My little brother, Aaron turned 12 on August 3rd! His favorite book series is the 39 Clues, so naturally he wanted me to make him a cake like his favorite books!
I chose to do the 2nd book because the cover had music on it & if you know me, I am all about music! This was a very easy cake for me to make! I made a sheet of music out of gum paste and a food coloring marker.
After the gum paste dried, I cut it in pieces like the chattered music on the book. It was hard for me to do... my sheet of music turned out really good & I had to literally wreck a good hour of my work!
I have a special nickname for my little brother..... Pererschmeeter! His full name is Aaron Peter Schneider & I have called him Peterschmeeter for as long as I can remember. When he saw that I put his nickname on the side of the  cake he had a HUGE smile on his face!
This is my Peterschmeeter & his cake along side the 39 Clues book!
This cake is a 9 x 13 cake & is made out of homemade marshmallow fondant & gumpaste.
