Tinker Bell & the Lost Treasure

I had an order for a Tinkerbell cake for little girl named Sarienna. My daughter Penny is one of her friends & was invited to the party. I wanted the cake to be really cool, so I chose to do Tinkerbell's air balloon from Tinker Bell & the lost Treasure movie.
I made Stargazer lilies for the base of the cake. I wanted to make the structure of the cake look like the balloon was floating over a field of giant flowers. I figured that the lilies would be the perfect flower, they were big & very girlie.

For the air balloon, I made the ship out of gum paste and let it dry. I made a ball cake and filled & covered it with white fondant & let it dry. My Penny & Melody helped me make pixie dust bags, a compass & an anchor to embellish the air boat.

Papa Smurf

My nephew, Rylan LOVES smurfs! He loves anything and everything about them. His favorite one though is Papa smurf. So for his birthday party on October 8th I just had to make him his Papa smurf.

I made Papa smurf out of two 2 layered cakes and a ball cake. I made a vanilla flavored cake so that I could swirl it blue & red. The filling was cream cheese & strawberries. I covered the cake with homemade fondant and also made the grass out of fondant.

50th wedding Anniversary

I re-made this wedding cake for a couple in our church on October 2nd. They were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary & wanted to have their wedding cake replicated. I also did two sheet cakes for them with raspberries & cream cheese on the top.
The really great thing about this cake is that they saved their cake topper from 1961. All that was missing from the cake was a little bow that was originally on the top of the cake topper.
This is Don & Celia Coffield on their wedding day. Notice the original cake topper.
Each layer of cake is one layered. The tier sizes were 6 inch for the top, 8 inch, 10 inch & 12 inches for the bottom. This was a vanilla cake with raspberry & cream cheese filling and white buttercream.

Falling Leaf Cupcakes

Tis the season for fall colors & falling leaves! I made 200 cupcakes, 1/2 red velvet & 1/2 chocolate. I then topped them in different colored frostings to match their colors in fourths. The colors/flavors were, chocolate fudge, burnt orange buttercream, eggplant buttercream & cream cheese frosting. YUMMY! My favorite out of all of them though was the red velvet & the cream cheese frosting together!
This stand I made with an 8inch, 12inch, 16inch, 20inch & a 24inch circle which I painted white. I then used glass cylinders for the supports & wrapped a black ribbon around each cupcake board base.
I made little fall colored leaves out of candy coating for each cupcake to go with the theme.
Notice in the columns that the girls added some fake fall leaves inside so that the stand matched the decor of the wedding.
My little elves (Michaela, Penny & Melody) who helped put the cupcake stand together & fill it with cupcakes! They are the best helpers!
