Luiz Bulldog Cake From Rio

I made a Luiz bulldog cake from the movie Rio for my daughter, Penny & littls sister, Rachel on February 20th. Penny turned 9 on Feb 15th & my little sister, Rachel turned 10 on the 16th. It's really cool to have them almost share a birthday! They are the same height & wear the same clothing size!
I made the bulldog out of chocolate cake & peanut butter filling.
I carved the dog & then covered the entire dog with homemade marshmallow fondant.
I then made all of the rolls & painted it.
Don't you love the drool that the girls made me add?
Pennys friends that she had over for her party. Michaela, Sydney, Mariah, Penny, Avery (Melody's friend who loves to watch my blog) & my Melody! HI AVERY!
Penny & Rachel posing with the Luiz cake.
They wanted a funny pose! Do you like all of the sparkler candles? When it was lit... the flames were REALLY big!
Here's proof that we actually cut into the cake & ate it!
Yummy... chocolate & peanut butter!

My Special Birthday Cupcakes

For my birthday on February 7th, my girls & husband decorated some cupcakes for me! This is my Penny hard at work on her cupcakes.
This is my Melody & Penny using all of the sparkle gel & glitters to make awesome cupcakes!
My Michaela decorating her cupcakes.

Michaela decided that his daisy wasn't very good... so she re-decorated it!
All of my cupcakes! What a great time with the kids & hubby!

Swirls & Bows

This cake I made for a 16th birthday. I made a 12 inch 2 tiered square cake. This was a vanilla cake with a vanilla filling.
I made a purple bow for the top of the cake and I added purple & white candy pearls.
This cake would look AWESOME as a tiered cake for a wedding... just mix up & add your own color pallet!

Peanut Butter & Marshmallows... YUMMY!

I wanted to make a treat for those of us who stay after church for a Financial Peace class on Sundays. I made chocolate cupcakes with a "secret frosting." I can tell you that it has whipping cream & peanut butter in it... but there is also another ingredient that knocks the taste out of the park! It was so Yummy! It went over so well, that I now offer it as a filling & other people have ordered it for their filling in chocolate cakes & love it!

Bowling-Alley Wedding!

These are two cakes that I made for my sister & aunt's wedding on February 18th. It was a double wedding in Ortonville, MN. We held it in my aunt & uncle's bowling alley! It was a ton of fun!!!
This cake os my aunt Sue's cake! "M" for Montzka. I made it square with swirls & added blue hydrangeas and a big magenta flower as an accent.
This is my sister, Diane's cake! "V" for Virnig. I made this cake a circle cake just to make each cake a little different, yet have the same style. I added swirls like the other cake, just a little different. Sorry if you can't see the "V" the lights kind of drown it out!
This is my sister, Diane & her new husband, Andy cutting their cake.
This is my aunt, Sue & her new husband, Bruce cutting their cake.
I also did all of the decorating & floral for the wedding! I also made the unity candles. Diane helped wrap her candle in ribbon!!! It was a lot of fun! I think that customizing your candles makes the wedding way more personal! And... you can use them to decorate other areas after you've used them!
Sue & Diane put their bouquets & I put their candles on the table as a decoration. I added a sheer magenta fabric & a shiny blue underneath to accent the blue & pink flowers.
I also made a candy table for the "kids" to snack on! No adults allowed!... J/K!
I made this program basket & the programs.
After the wedding, my uncle opened the bowling alleys for everyone to play... FREE! It was awesome! This is my Melody & my nephew Timothy, and my brother-in-law John who is helping his son, Rylan bowl the perfect game!

Dress... $. Photos.... $. Over 5 hours of bowling with all of the family having fun... priceless! All of the kids from left to right are... Penny (my daughter), Payton (nephew), Colton (nephew), Aaron (brother), John (brother-in-law), Timothy (nephew), & Melody (my daughter).

Nothin' But Net!

This cake I made for a little boys birthday! His name is Mason & he loves basketballs!
The basketball is made out of fondant with black buttercream.
This is the back of the cake. I made the bottom tier to look like a hoop & net so that the ball looks like it will go into the net. "SWOOSH!"
This cake is a 2 tier 12 inch and a ball cake. I made homemade marshmallow fondant & buttercream. This cake is chocolate with a vanilla filling.

The Ultimate Valentine

I made this cake for our church Valentines banquet on February 13th along with another sheet cake which I didn't get a photo of. I wanted to make this one look like a candy heart.
I added John 3:16 (For God so loved the world that He gave His one & only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life) My daughter, Melody & I then added candy hearts around the border of the cake & all over on the cake board.
