Tammy's Purple & Silver Baubles & Swirls

This cake was made for a 40th birthday party which was held on December 17th at the white Musser Mansion in Little Falls, MN. Tammy threw herself an extravagant birthday party which was black tie and hosted over 80 people.
Tammy wanted to do something fun with her birthday, so she chose a purple color for her dress & decorations & then accented the purple with silvers, whites & blacks.
For the top circle cake I covered it in white fondant & sprayed it with a silver luster & added black swirls.  The base cake I made silver also & added white circle pearl candies and a purple fondant ribbon around the bottom. I made a "T" for the center plaque of the middle purple almond cake and added light purple & silver baubles all around the cake.
Here is a photo of me decorating the cake that my daughter, Michaela took.
The cakes each had a different flavor. The top 6 inch circle was pistachio with a pistachio filling, the middle 8 inch square was almond with an almond filling, and the 10 inch square was dark chocolate with a chocolate fudge filling. All of the fondant was homemade marshmallow fondant.
